The Outdoorchef Montreux in the Chef Edition provides the perfect grilling temperatures via two independent ring burners. Inside the grill, there is a large burner intended for standard grilling and a small burner for working in low-temperature ranges. This allows the gas grill to offer the complete spectrum of temperatures, from baking pizza to slow-cooking butter-tender roasts for hours.

The EASY FLIP funnel system by Outdoorchef

Located under the grill grate is the aforementioned EASY FLIP funnel system. The funnel is a part of the grill that can be removed and inserted with either the large or small opening facing upward, depending on the type of grilling.

The funnel influences the heat distribution of the burners. When you insert the funnel with the larger opening facing upward (the standard position), the heat is directed around the funnel and the food being grilled. This allows you to grill indirectly over the entire surface area, enabling gentle and healthy preparation of your food.

Turn the funnel around into the volcano position, and you are perfectly equipped for everything that requires high temperatures. Searing steaks, baking pizza, working with a wok, or simply using a plancha—all of this works in the volcano position.

The danger of grease fires is also completely eliminated by the funnels, as grease is directed straight down and out of the grill.

The stable lid hinge allows for safe and simple handling of the lid, which opens and closes at a 135° angle. This is ideal for all right-handed users who have their grilling tools in their right hand and operate the lid with their left. Additionally, heat-resistant silicone buffers are attached to the outside of the kettle rim so that the lid can be closed more quietly and gently.
