Description
Description
This is the premium version of the Hegene rig from Jenzi!
Tied on a fluorocarbon leader (almost invisible to fish), with loop knots for optimal freedom of movement for the nymphs.
The nymphs are tied with materials including Spectraflash, tinsel, and holographic foils, making them incredibly effective.
Fishing with a Hegene or Gambe rig, including the use of "Nuggis" or small tubes as bait, is a widespread fishing technique similar to a paternoster rig and is a very successful method. Several dropper flies on the main line in various lure styles attract whitefish, vendace, perch, and more.
TIP: In the summer or during the warmer seasons, fish mostly feed on larger insects, which is why we recommend hook sizes 12 and 14 for Hegene fishing during this time.
