Surface lure artificial bait
Topwater lures - surface fishing lures - buy cheap in our online fishing tackle shop
Surface lures, for instance for pike or perch, have long been an essential part of every tackle box. The reason for this is quite simple: they catch fish – often in fishing spots where you cannot reach with standard lures like spoons, spinners, or soft plastic baits. Topwater lures are particularly effective in water lilies. For example, poppers or floating mice as fishing lures – i.e., plastic mice – can often be fished in such otherwise inaccessible fishing spots.
Anglers can buy surface lures for more than just pike in our online shop
We carry a large variety of fishing lures for the surface. Poppers in particular are very well-suited for topwater fishing for perch. It is not just European perch that react to them; sea perch, the popular largemouth bass, or black bass can also be outsmarted with topwater wobblers and poppers.
But topwater wobblers in the shape of a frog are also very effective for predatory fish. Manufacturers like Spro or Live Target have developed frogs that are very close to a natural frog. It is therefore almost impossible for the fish to distinguish them from their natural counterparts. The action that the angler performs with the fishing rod makes topwater lures like frogs or mice look simply irresistible to predatory fish.
Other popular topwater lures for predatory fish are the Balzer Micro Popper, the Slim Dog Pop from ProFish, or the Doiyo Concept Japan Wobbler Omote from Iron Claw or Doiyo. These topwater lures and poppers are available in many effective patterns and colors.
Illex also offers great fishing lures and surface lures. We also have great wobblers in our online shop for catching asp on the surface. We even have the perfect fishing lure on offer for twitching for zander on the surface. With our fishing lures and topwater wobblers, or rather surface lures, you can spin-fish to your heart's content! You will see, our surface lures catch fish!
Fishing with surface lures, topwater wobblers, and poppers has also become well-established in Europe. Manufacturers like ProFish, Spro, Iron Claw, DAM, or other fishing tackle manufacturers have responded accordingly.
